The Parks and Wildlife Code of Texas outlaws canned hunts of big cats and other dangerous wild animals (Subchapter F, Sections 62.101-62.102). However, hunting of other exotics, such as hoofstock, remains legal and is a booming business, with hundreds of private hunting operations.
